Italian Cheese Bread – Super Chef Bread Maker Recipe

Ingredients:

Small Loaf (1 pound)

¾ cup Water

1 Tbsp. Olive or vegetable oil

2 cups All-Purpose or bread flour

1 tsp. Salt

2 tsp. Sugar

3 Tbsp. Grated Parmesan cheese

1 ½ tsp. Italian seasoning *

¾ tsp. Quick-rise or bread machine yeast

¾ tsp. Fennel and/or celery seeds (Optional)

Medium Loaf (1½ Pounds)

1 cup + 2 Tbsp. Water

1-½ Tbsp. Olive or vegetable oil

3 cups All-Purpose or bread flour

1-½ tsp. Salt

1 Tbsp. Sugar

¼ cup Grated Parmesan cheese

2 tsp. Italian seasoning *

1-¾ tsp. Quick-rise or bread machine yeast

1 tsp. Fennel and/or celery seeds (Optional)

*OR use a mixture of dried basil, oregano and thyme

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in the pan in the above order.
  2. Place pan in machine
  3. Select #1 for small loaf: select #2 or #3 for medium loaves.
  4. If delay option is desired, press ↑ to set timer.
  5. Press START. Bread will be done in the number of hours indicated.

NOTE: A fruit and nut beep will sound about 32 minutes into the cycle.

VARIATION:

HERB AND ONION BREAD – Substitute instant dried onion flakes for cheese and substitute 1/2 tsp. each dried sage, thyme and rosemary or,  Herbs de Provence for Italian seasoning, for small loaf and 1 tsp. each for medium loaf. Use celery seeds if desired.
